Today, I got hit in the mouth with a hockey stick and lost four teeth. Yesterday I got my braces of six years removed. FML

OP, that is what you get for playing hockey. It is a violent sport and it is not uncommon for players to break bones and lose teeth. You knew it, you played, you deserve it.

For all the people assuming OP was playing ice hockey, they're from Ireland, so I can pretty much guarantee they were playing field hockey.

I feel your pain. Only a couple months after getting my braces off & wisdom teeth pulled, I was in a car accident & lost 5 teeth & broke my jaw.

WTF kind of helmet were you wearing? And why weren't you wearing a mouthguard? I understand these things can happen even with the appropriate helmets and mouthguards, but not easily. My whole family plays or played hockey, and they all have full mouths of teeth because they put safety first (as much as you can as a hockey player).
