Today, I started some laundry late at night. Once my clothes were in the washer for about a half hour, I got bored and I decided I would listen to my iPod. After looking for it for another 15 minutes, I remembered where I'd left it; in my jacket... which is now nice and clean. FML

Today, I was laughing at a story of a girl who had dropped her cellphone in a hottub and ruined it. As I was feeling pretty good about myself, I then realized that my cellphone was in the pocket of a sweater that I had just thrown in the washer 20 minutes prior. FML

Today, I couldn't find my phone. Worried that I'd accidentally thrown it in the trash, I emptied out all the bins and searched the garbage. An hour later, my daughter said she'd found it by the bathroom sink. FML

well, to clarify, shes 11 and has been asking for one since they came out. we decided for christmas to surprise her with one. shes not spoiled at all and thanks for everyone who agreed that it was just an accident. it was! our lives are not ruined because of this, it just sucks. we are not mad but we are certainly not replacing it.

SOAK IT IN RICE. No joke. Bury it in a bag of rice; the rice oftentimes will absorb much of the water, and newer electronics will usually work afterwards.
