Today, I called my mom to see how she was doing. She quickly hijacked the conversation and said that she's signed me up for a dating site, because she feels bad that I can't find a decent man. I've been dating my boyfriend for seven months, and she's seen me with him multiple times. FML

Today, I just found out my dad got remarried a year ago. The woman is officially living with us, I got to have lunch with her alone today. I found out she is only 22, with a 14 year old little brother. My dad's 47. I'm 17, now with a 14 year old uncle and a mom that can pass for my girlfriend. FML

Those who try the hardest to convince social media of their happiness are usually actually the opposite. I'm sorry your father is going about it all wrong, though :/ hopefully him and your mom split up and it gives her a chance to find someone who won't cheat.

There is always the possibility that they are swingers, or Polyamorous or have an open relationship.... there are plenty of relationships that involve seeing different people and are still "happily" making it along.

I mean, obviously something was up, otherwise you probably wouldn't be on a dating site seeking out much older men. You don't get daddy issues from happily married, well-rounded parents.
