Today, I facebooked my friends about my upcoming birthday party, and told them to keep the date free. I got several responses telling me that's not possible, because that's the day the new Harry Potter movie comes out. FML

I would honestly have to agree. Opening night of Harry Potter matches no other.

pshh who wouldn't go watch Harry Potter instead *light bulb goes on in head* maybe you can have your birthday party at the movie theater!

I would totally ditch my friends birthday for a Harry Potter movie. Then again, none of my friends are stupid enough to have their birthday on that day

YDI for having your birthday party on the Harry Potter release date... duh. Check the freaking movie schedule. I would blow off anyone-ANYONE-if it was the date HBP comes out... seriously. Oh, FYL too, because obviously no one told you the important things in life: like not to expect sympathy when it comes to Harry Potter and release dates. Because everyone has July 15 booked. =)

1. i would never have this problem because all of my friends love harry potter anyways so we'd all be excited by the fact if one of our bdays was on opening day. 2. its called rescheduling, jeez.

ok people harry potter really isnt that great. lets stop obsessing over fake people and start socializing with real peoplee

Harry Potter party! Duh! YDI because Harry Potter is awesome and comes once every couple of years. Your birthday is every year. =p Although it'd be an FYL if they chose that god-awful Twilight shit over you.

Well, you have to make sure your friends are free before you schedule your birthday party, not the other way around. And obviously, a Harry Potter movie beats your birthday party. So either reschedule your birthday party, or go watch Harry Potter with your friends that day. This is a lame FML.

you should try to plan your life around important events like that, since Harry Potter is so much better than your pathetic little life.

obviously any avid Harry Potter fan (myself included) would skip some ******* party to go see the new film. It was supposed to come out in November, but no, they just had to wait. Suck it up!!
