Clever child!
She's not saying he's an alcoholic, just his breath is bad when he does.
How sad that your seven-year-old daughter is smarter and has more common sense than you. And YDI for drinking heavily when you have a young child.
i dont understand how this is an fml for you. if anything, she was just trying to be sweet.
If you really do have a problem, then please take your daughter's advice. You might be hurting her more than you could ever know. I signed up just so I could comment on this. My dad has been drinking since well before I was 7, and I'm 16 now. The problem escalated until he was, at one point, somewhat abusive. It's a little better now, only in that he gets wasted about 2-3 times a week. But it's definitely NO picnic. I hate talking to him, looking at him. Please, respect your daughter enough to put her needs before yours.

Wow, kids are getting smarter.
You should feel lucky to have a smart daughter who really cares about you.
