Today, I bought my cat a nice big bag of expensive anti-hairball catfood, so she'd stop puking hairballs on my things. After eating it, she started running around wildly, howling and projectile vomiting on EVERYTHING. FML

yeah..you're not supposed to just change an animal's food all of a sudden like that. it'd be like you only eating bread your entire life, and then one day we take away bread and just give you broccoli. you'd puke your guts up, because what the hell is this green stuff and where's my bread?! try mixing 75% old food with 25% new food for a few days, then 50%/50% , then 75% new and 25% , then 100% the new stuff.

That's how anti hairball food works. It's hard to cough up a hairball while puking

I LAUGHED MY ASS OF AT THIS!!!! My mom wondered what was so funny. xD

F your cat's life. Taking on a pet is like being a parent, it's a responsibility and it sometimes gets messy. Quit complaining and take your cat to the vet already.

You should probably get your cat checked out, then. Maybe it has some kind of stomach problem or something if it's throwing up all the time.

I dunno about ya'll, but when I see an adult, a child, or a loved one doing nothing but throwing up 24-7, the FIRST thing I do is go get them some pepto bismal and hope it goes away. Instead of, maybe, oh--I dunno--taking them to a doctor.

Sounds like what happens to humans when they get western medicine as well.

Ok I have to admit that #2 made me bust out laughing. And my mom usually looks up pet food on the internet before purchasing it.

i never knew a cat could projectile vomit before reading this....take that poor cat to the vet asap! There is a very good chance that there is something seriously wrong. FTCL One of the things i learned right away is that chaging the food without weening them off of the old food gradually causes major digestive distress. I know vomit is gross but be thankful it was vomit and not diarrea all over everything. Yes brushing the cat or using a mit takes away the loose fur from the cat reducing hairballs but cats will never stop getting them because they bathe themselves and end up eating some of the loose fur. Also if the cat has medium or long hair a haircut with help with reducing hairballs as well.

you have to switch them over slowly over a 4-day period and mix it in with the old food if you want to avoid stomach issues.

...hairballs are from cleaning themselves... not their food... Or am I missing something?
