Today, I bought an expensive, heat-resistant double-sided tape to attach my dashcam to the windshield. It didn't last five hours, but has stuck nicely to the floor mat. FML

3M makes some very good double sided tape. So does Gorilla. Not sure if ready-resistant is actually necessary in that application, but it probably is a good idea anyway.

That's what I came here to ask. Mine came with several strips of adhesive, including different options (double sided tape, velcro, info on ordering a compatible suction cup...). It's been two years and the heat in my car has been as high as 120F and as low as -9F and it holds perfectly. It wasn't even a top of the range model. It cost $50 on Amazon (and has GREAT wide-angle lens in HD)
