Today, I asked my daughter what time it was. She stared at the clock for several seconds before muttering, "I don't know". She's 14 years old and on the honour roll, and yet she can't tell the time on an analogue clock. FML

I know college kids who can't read a regular clock. It scares me that these people are the future of this world.

Maybe she was just being a smartass. I'm 14 and I'd do the same thing if my dad was sitting next to a clock and could look himself.

sometimes people forget since they have cell phones and iPods to tell time now so maybe that's why she still doesn't know

well im 12 and i could read an analog clock since i was 5 so maybe parents should step it up and take the responsibility to teach kids things on their own! schools not gonna teach us everything you know?!?!?!

my spanish teacher had to teach us how to read them because a student in our class didn't know how to read it. she taught us so she could do a worksheet correctly. I'm in highschool.

For everyone's information, I'm the daughter here and I'm sorry that, even though I've made nothing but straight-A's so far in school while being in honors and STILL excelling, helping others, and being way more mature in every way than most people my age, that I had a "blonde moment". Yeah, I'm not perfect, but who cares?! I have the intelligence to be an astrophysicist and the looks to model for Victoria's Secret. So what if I can't quickly read an analog clock? It's just not a habit in my household... Sorry I'm apparently a failure dad.
