When my stepfather wasn't grilling my visibly uncomfortable grandad about Bible passages, my mother was trauma-dumping about how hard her life has been, and how awful her marriage to my father was. They're his parents. FML

That sucks op I'm sorry having gone through the same thing myself the only advice I can give you is say they are holiday and they will be back next week. I know it's lying but it's easier on them
