Today, at 21 years of age, my doctor confirmed that I am, indeed, going bald. It wouldn't be such a bad thing, even expected, if I wasn't a woman. FML

Actually, I do think bald people are beautiful. You may not have the same opinion as me, but I wouldn't post something if I didn't mean it. I personally don't want to go bald, because I like my hair. But if I did, I'd embrace it.

I really wish you knew where the "S" key is located. It's right next to the "A" I swear it's still there.

This fml has inspired me to donate some of my hair.

why would you assume it doesn't suck to go bald if you're a man? and why would you expect to go bald at 21 years of age if you were a man?

I suggest the over so popular wig or of course extensions.

look at the bright side, theres an invention called a wig!

Could be worse. Would you rather be losing your hair from female pattern baldness, or a second round of docetaxel? You don't need hair to be beautiful. A smile helps--as does a nice set of cans

must have dyed your hair to many times or something.. genetically women won't go bald naturally (not including diseases or treatments)

Actually, female-pattern baldness is caused by genetics. Baldness in women can be completely natural, it's just much rarer than baldness in men because our chromosomes are a little different. Baldness is carried on the X chromosome, and since men have only 1 it's impossible for them to carry it, only show it. Women have 2 Xs so the only way for them to be bald is if they have the baldness gene on BOTH chromosomes.

Definitely consider getting some Nioxin to wash with. I've seen it really help some ladies with their hair loss. Look up Gail Porter- she's truly an inspiration for those living with alopecia.
