Today, my boyfriend of 7 years left me for the woman I had previously expressed concerns about. I wouldn't feel so bad if he hadn't dumped me and then got with her not even two hours later. FML

While the honorable thing to do is to break up then look for another love, many people don’t follow that. When dissatisfied with a current relationship they start looking for a “better” option but keep their current girlfriend or boyfriend or spouse on “hold” until they find what they think they are looking for. That shows dishonesty and poor moral values, but it’s not uncommon by any means, Chances are your ex was in that mode. Men and women both often do this.
