I guess people assume Americans are fat like they assume Canada is a barren winter wonderland where the inhabitants live in igloos, ride moose and polar bears, and are governed by Tim Hortons. :P

iight iight iight , FIRST OF ALL i have NEVER seen a obese european person , SECOND americans ARE a lil on the fattish side but so wat , some cant help it and othrs , screw them cuz either they dnt care or are too lazy to do anything about it. ur bf probly was sayn that from a foreign point of view ... but its the truth , i hav a russian friend , sure he's a player but he's nice , and america has its flaws jus like any othr country so GET OVR IT

Ok rushiee you are starting to get obnoxious. As if Americans are the only ones that do that. And no it is not proven that Russians have high metabolism. I don't know where you're getting your facts lady. But stop trying to bring Americans down in every post you make. Every country has their fits (not anorexic, liposuction, all the things you listed, etc) and their fatties. Granted that Americans do have overweight issues, but calm the hell down. You are getting so worked up about it.

^ This. After traveling overseas and then returning home, or hell, even just seeing a bunch of American tourists while overseas, everyone looks so bloated. You can kinda see in facial features what people *should* look like, but... Same goes for grocery stores and WalMarts. I've seen expat friends get completely overwhelmed upon "reentry;" it's like a product overload.

Funny how usually when someone posts a 'I'm overweight'-FML, everybody is up in arms of how he or she sucks and should lose some ******* weight. Insult the US and it's okay to be too fat, because all Russians are evil. So ironic!

Americans are only the second fattest country around... Mexico is worse... learn your statistics... Then again, a bit of US Bash is always fun, but even that gets boring in the long run... :)

And here we go again with you racist *****. First: I've made many trips to Mexico since I was a child, and the fattest person that I saw there was not even close to the ones here. So take that stick out your ass, be a man, and admit that our country has the highest level of obesity. FYI: Mexicans tend to not eat fast food a lot. They eat homemade meals. Second: Believe me, Mexico has received many more bashes than the U.S.
