Today, I went in to work and was handed a write-up for having lied about being sick in order to leave early yesterday. Apparently, a co-worker saw me leave the parking lot, then immediately pull into the shopping center next door. I was going to Walgreens for cold medicine. FML

People are jerks. I could never work in an office and have to put up with crap like that. But at least it's not a difficult thing to explain, especially if you still have the receipt, and your co-worker will look like a douche.

You should of just gone to your boss and explained all of this to them. I'm sure they would understand and if you had to you can show them a receipt which they will have no choice but to accept.

I should hope you didn't sign the write-up and challenge it! Doesn't Walgreen have a PHARMACY and a place to buy. over. the. counter. meds. for. when. you're. sick??? Is your manager/boss/whatever and the other co-worker STUPID? GAH!

I think the consensus is OP deserves it because of how easy it is to explain and fix this problem. If it doesn't get fixed, they just didn't try hard enough.
