Today, my husband was surprised to learn that I am planning on celebrating our daughter's first day at school. He is now pissed that we did not "decide on this together." Who doesn't celebrate their child's first school day? FML

If the celebration is like a party or going out or something, I don’t blame him for being pissed you didn’t talk to him. She’s both your daughter right?

what do you mean by celebrate? do you mean you are happy your child is gone? or are you emotional because its a big thing? anyways I got teary eyed as a dad when my kids went to kindergarten. very heart breaking leaving them with someone else

We need more info. If you're doing something over the top he probably has a right to be angry. If you're talking taking a picture or driving her rather than putting her on the bus, YDI for marrying the guy.
