Today, my former therapist told me she couldn't give me the support I need and hung up on me. We haven't worked together in almost a year, but I really need the billing statements to file insurance. FML

Would sending an email with “BILLING INFORMATION REQUEST” as the subject be feasible? Or getting a friend to call and ask instead without mentioning your name initially?

Friend won’t be able to help. If the friend got the info, I would be very leery of that place because they would be giving out someone else’s information
