Movie going

Today, a man kept talking and laughing like an idiot all through the movie I was watching. I thought he was high, so I called him a moron and told him to shut the hell up. It turned out he wasn't high. He was just "special". FML

The best thing to do when someone's being disruptive in a theater is to go find an employee. They're able to get people to quiet down or leave (if necessary) without bothering other theatergoers.

He shouldn't have been there. As horrible as I seem, if he couldn't be quiet he shouldn't be there

The thing is, his parent or caretaker who brought him had a duty to know it was not an appropriate place for him. My cousin has the body of a 29-year-old, but the mind of a 4-year-old, and though she has been taught to whisper, she forgets. We don't ever take her to the movies because she may scream, become antsy, get upset by certain sensations or sensory overload, etc. She has a HUGE DVD & Blu-Ray collection and her own set-up in her room to watch any movie she wants, whenever she wants where the things she can't help aren't disturbing anyone else.

You did what was right at the time the people with him or the employees should have quoted him down,a lot of people are saying you were a pass but I think you did the right thing

Did you just copy someone else's fml?

That's what you get for assuming :/.

Congratulations! You're officially a terrible person. For future reference, there are in fact POLITE ways of saying things, all of which you had the option to use instead of being a jerk.

That's no excuse, even if he is special. It's common sense.

I'm sorry but this is a classic case of "think before you speak". Had you taken a moment, maybe looked at the guy or politely asked them to be be quiet, you may have realized what the situation was & saved yourself from that foot in your mouth.

Damn sorry, OP. This is why you can't lash out at anyone in an instant. Sometimes knowing the backstory to the situation completely changes the picture.
