Today, it's been a few days since I decided to give this girl I like the silent treatment. I've been messaging off and on with her for a few weeks, but decided to stop for a bit, just to seem mysterious. When I logged on Facebook today, her status was, "So happy that annoying guy has stopped writing to me!" FML

Today, it's my girlfriend's birthday. To celebrate, I spent the day with her and then took her out to a really nice dinner. She is currently giving me the silent treatment because I didn't write "Happy Birthday" on her Facebook wall. FML

I went completely radio silent as part of a bet, because others are convinced that he'll miss me. I don't think he's noticed. FML

Today, after being so jaded by failed relationships, I'd given a guy who slid into my Facebook Messenger a chance. We'd entered the talking stage, only to be told four months later that he’s found a girlfriend, and no longer wants to continue this interaction and blocked me. FML

We'd talked multiple times without her mentioning my birthday. She ignored it on Facebook. Time for no contact. FML

Today, it's been a year since the girl I'm madly in love with completely cut off all communication with me. She called me crying a year ago, saying she couldn't do the long-distance, unaware I was planning on moving closer to her. Not once has she reached out, and has a girlfriend now. I think about her every night. FML

Uhh.. I'm sure she dropped hints that she wasn't interested. :/ Or maybe she was polite to you, and you took it as her "liking you..." Just know if they actually DO like you next time, or else you'll seem annoying, or creepy.

It'd be the same thing for me. "Hard to get" and "the silent treatment" are for children. Hard to get isn't sexy or cute, its just annoying. Similarly, silent treatment isn't mysterious, its just stupid. So is ignoring someone who seems interested in you to be cool. As you said, they're both pretty much the same, so they get pretty much the same amount of contempt from me. :)

dude this seems almost exactly like what i'm going through. i really wish guys wouldn't do that.. ignore the girls they like, i mean.. -daydreams- ah! but yea i'm sorry. you kinda deserved that. ..haha that'd be funny to try posting that on my fb, actually.. maybe the guy that's ignoring me will think better of it, like you undoubtedly are. :P best of luck to you though. hope you get it straightened out! :O

I see what you were trying to do cuz most chicks are attracted to jerks and "mysterious" guys but yeah I would also get annoyed if someone just on and off wrote to me cuz it's like "If you wanna talk to me, talk to me, don't just suddenly stop." Maybe you'll rub off on her if you were nice cuz you were being sweet and she'll see it and like you. Also maybe her friends don't like you and she tried to seem "cool" or idk, just my opinion :)
