Meat is murder

Today, I went on my first date with a girl I have been infatuated with for months. At the restaurant, the waiter came while she was in the bathroom. I ordered steaks for both of us. Turns out, she is vegetarian, and doesn't like it when men are "overly aggressive." She called me a cow murderer. FML

She's not pshyco! She just strongly believes in not eating animals and ordering her an unwanted steak just killed another cow :(

The polite thing to do would have been to ask the waiter to come back when your lady had returned.. Even I she hadn't turned out to be a veggie, you shouldn't have assumed what he wanted, especially not based on what you wanted! I can see her reasoning behind calling you that.

I understand people's concerned about killing animals and eating them, but plants are also alive, they communicate between themselves (chemically). So what do we do ? Eat stones ? What proves us that they aren't alive in some way ? Do we stop eating at all ? Even though I'm not a vegetarian, I am not a psycho monster. The best that we can do, IMO, is to avoid wasting our food. And to stop attacking people because they are - or they aren't - vegetarian.

Maybe you do not understand the concept behind plant being edible for a vegetarian. If u kill an animal can it reproduce? When you pick the fruit produced by a plant does that plant die or stops to produce fruits? Even if we chop a plant does it stop reproducing? Take the example of a banana tree. You can chop it but it grows again. But if u chop the head of an animal does it become alive again? It's simply that eating a fruit does not interfere in the life cycle of a plant but yes killing an animal does interfere in its life cycle. Plants are alive, but they are made to provide us the different food. By eating the fruit produced by plants, we help fulfill the aims of the plant's life in the ecosystem, because even if u eat the fruit, the seeds are not digested in your system, we throw the seed away which in turn gives birth to another plant... the cycle continues. :)
