Well, clearly her sense of humor doesn't involve penis, anniversaries, and Squidward. It *is* messed up to just state that OP's boyfriend is coolcoolcool, and OP is humorless/stuck-up. I can definitely see where OP is coming from with not wanting a contemporary pop-culture reference (specifically a cartoon character from a children's show) being involved with any of the sex to be had on their anniversary... it's about preference.
