Most dreams mean little to nothing. Some are wish fulfillment like yours apparently was. Some are about our fears or concerns. A dream that brings a real message from the departed is very rare, but they do happen - That kind of dream can range from highly symbolic to matter of fact with the departed out and out telling you something. (My family and me personally have had a few dreams that appeared to be a message from the departed.) But your dream’s message is in direct conflict with what you know to be true unless it’s a version of the movie “The Sixth Sense” and Mom is in denial about her own death. Frankly that seems really unlikely so I assume your dream was just a wish fulfillment dream which only means you miss your Mom - A very real sentiment but without any real “message”. My sincere sympathies on the loss of your mom. In time it will get better, but the loss never goes away entirely.

maybe it really was your mom letting you know she's ok on the other side. embrace knowing she's watching over you and that she's ok

I'm guessing you and your mom spent a lot of time in Facebook groups. I'm sorry for your loss. The doctors weren't wrong about Covid, and I hope you get the vaccine as soon as you can (not like half of my idiot countrymen who are skipping it even though it's widely available.)

My brother, father and I all had dreams of my mom a month or so after her death back in 2016. All of them were just like yours, telling us that someone got it wrong and that she's actually still alive. I'm sorry you had that dream but I know how it feels. It's the worst. I'm sorry for your loss and I hope things get a little easier with time.

The brain is a funny thing, 4 months isn't a long time in the Divine where there is no concept of time. The feeling she gave you is what she feels, embrace that. With words things gets lost in translation feelings are always real. Sending you love and strength
