I can't deal with confrontation

Today, my son is so pathetic that when a tiny, unarmed 5-foot tall female thief robbed our store, he didn’t grab the baseball bat, he didn’t slam the anti-theft door on the counter closed, he didn’t even press the big alarm button, he just started crying, put his hands up, and let her empty the till. Was it an inside job? Did he split the loot with her back at the hideout? Why am I talking like a gumshoe detective?

I didn't read in your FML about you doing anything about it. Don't gaslight us or your son about your failure to act to protect *your* business and your employees who shouldn't be expected to act above their pay grade. YDI.

my thoughts exactly Richard. as I read it I automatically went to he was in on it.

Are you certain she didn't have a weapon on her? I find that a little farfetched

your son sounds like he doesn't handle stressful situations well. And I'm not saying he should be the pinnacle of bravery here, but he either wasn't trained how to handle this situation properly or he needs a backend job. I was a cashier, and the thought of being robbed didn't bug me or the other cashier, it's not our money or our problem to solve but some people only think about the bad outcomes and can't think rational in bad situations. panic or not he needs to be taught to think through stress or find a job he can avoid this sort of possibility. either way you sound like an asshole and didn't teach them to handle stress right...

Just because she was unarmed doesn’t mean she didn’t have a weapon. She could’ve used her legs.

Yup, your son needs his man card revoked 😆😆

Not to mention that maybe OP should look at how he failed as a father if he raised someone so "pathetic"

At least he didn't hit a woman.
