Today, my boyfriend, and father of my son, announced that he’s leaving me for my best friend. His reasoning is that he feels bad that she’s a single mom. When I pointed out that by him leaving me, I’ll also be a single mom, he responded with, "But at least she has her pre-pregnancy body back." FML

legit, let him go. God forbid she ever gain abit of weight, because he is gonna drop her like a hot potato too.

Stupid is as Stupid does. Lawyer up and hit him for max on child support (Don't worry about the cost, he'll pay it). If you were dependent, alimony also. I don't even think a marriage certificate will be needed. There's not a judge or lawyer that will show sympathy for such a shallow reasoning for leaving the mother of their children. Don't forget he needs to carry healthcare for everyone. Just be sure he pays before wanting tax dollars to support the kid or kids. I foresee living out of a car for him in the future.

This may seem shallow, but I would workout like crazy, get super hot. Not to get him back, but make him realize his mistake. And also to get healthy lol, that's good too. Then laugh and enjoy all the attention you will get from someone who is hopefully more worthy.

By all means look it up. There's been a few cases were a woman was awarded monetary support without being married. The technical term may not be alimony for unmarried couples, but it does happen when one is dependent on the other.

I've been reading a lot of "my man left me because my body isn't back" or "my man doesn't wanna have sex with me because of my post birth body" and people ask me why I don't want kids. sorry op :(

Meh. It's not a ticket for doom. I've been quite thin, and often in great shape since I had my son 9 years ago. Never gained any weight or had any major changes in my looks. Everyone is different! 🤷‍♀️
