Good one, lady

Today, while walking to work, I accidentally dropped my $400 cell phone on the sidewalk. The screen shattered into a million pieces. A woman passing by looked at the ruined phone and said, "Now that's what you call a dropped call!" She laughed and kept walking. FML

YDI for paying $400 for a phone!!! YDI for getting a phone that was apparently made out of glass!! YDI for exaggerating how many pieces the phone broke into, assuming it was fewer than 1,000,000. Also, YDI for not thanking that lady for the best laugh I've had in a week! That pun is too hilarious to pass up, so I don't blame her. Imagine if she didn't say it to you, she would be itching to say it to the next person she saw but it still wouldn't have been as funny. ((As far as the phone comments go, my phone cost me $50 and it has survived many, many drops and the occasionally slam or throw into a wall. A previous phone of the same model stopped working after I dropped it one too many times, but it was still intact, and Virgin Mobile replaced it for free.)) So go ahead and keep buying your ridiculously expansive and ridiculously fragile "smart" phones and complain when you are careless enough to break a $400 piece of equipment. (I only own one thing worth that much; a guitar amp that I take VERY good care of.)

ydi, Don't spend so much money on a phone. My phone cost me 15 dollars, I've had it three years, dropped it more times than I can count and it works beautifully. My boyfriend's 200 dollar phone is a piece of crap, it is always screwing up. I wish the world would stop being so materialistic and realize, QUALITY OVER QUANTITY. Get a cheap phone and QQ.
