If you can without arousing suspicion, document your coworker’s appearance by taking a picture. Then you can go to your boss or HR with your complaint. Without that proof nothing is liable to be done. Nobody should have to deal or work with a deliberate shit stain of a human being! Bear in mind he might, or might not, have done this knowing you would be the one cleaning it up. That could imply some malice towards you personally from a passive-aggressive jerk. If that’s the case, it’s not going to stop until the idiot is caught and fired. But do not tell anyone else besides management or HR that you are the one reporting this.
