Today, I realized my boyfriend never argues with me when I'm right, but goes to great lengths when I'm not. As a result, in the five years we've been together, he has won every single argument we ever had. FML

So he only argues with you when you're... wrong? One isn't SUPPOSED to argue with you when you're right. This should be an FML for your boyfriend, not you.

Let me try to make sense of this: You make some sort of claim/fact/whatever, your boyfriend disagrees with you, and when you prove that what you said is right, he backs down, but when he proves you wrong, you don't back down, meaning he's forced to persist with his side until you either give up or realize you're mistaken? To me, that sounds like you're the one looking to argue, and he gets drawn into it because you refuse to listen. Or, do you mean that when you're proven wrong, he boasts about it and makes you feel bad?
