Damn Im so sorry OP, that frickin sucks! The silver lining is you dodged a bullet. But I know that is hurtful plus the loss of finances. But take the lesson, turn it into wisdom. Remember, hearts get broken everyday.

The fact your friend didn’t step up sooner is also a kick in the teeth. You could have saved your self some time and money if they had of talked to you sooner.
