Hubris!!! Once you start congratulating yourself, the gods **** you up to give you humility.
It sounds like you're expecting your dog to know how to behave without training. Dogs of all ages require consistency when it comes to training, for example, when I got my dog 2 years ago (12 week old great Pyrenees), he would have accidents in the house whenever I was not home. since my partner and I both worked full time I took two weeks off to train the puppy properly by bringing him outside every 30 min and congratulating and praising verbally and with treats every time he went potty outside, and only scolding mildly when caught in the act inside, never screaming or physical punishment as dogs are very sensitive and maintaining their trust is essential to have a happy life with your best friend. He was fully house broken in 3 days and after that would only go inside if I didn't make it to the door in time or wasn't home to let him out which was my own fault since I wasn't there. Dogs are like children and act out if they don't get the attention they require and unless you take the time to care for your dog properly, which includes one on one time playing, training, walking, ect, you will be in for a decade or more of a dog doing his business inside and tearing your house apart. Remember going forward, training is supposed to be positive and fun for your dog and will have your dog wanting to listen to you because he loves you, not because he fears you, which in my opinion is the best kind of relationship you can have with your dog.
Does screaming make you feel better? Because it certainly isn't going to change anything. A dog will do what a dog will do. If you scare the dog all it will do is pee out of your sight. Maybe instead of expecting a dog to magically know english all of a sudden you should find a dog trainer or at least dog training manuals online and train him to not pee in the house.

YDI for having a pet that you're clearly not capable of caring for without going psycho.
