Today, I found out that the blind man I've been helping for months at the grocery store by carrying his shopping around and stuff was actually faking his blindness. FML

OP, I'm curious as to how you found this out. Did someone tell you and you just believed it? Did the guy see something? I'm legally blind - I have a small amount of vision, but not enough to read most print or get around safely without a cane. Because I can see some things, I get accused of faking my disability all the time. Eyesight isn't binary - there's a whole continuum. It's possible that he's just legally blind or visually impaired.

@29 What the heck is your deal. I mean even though he faked his blindness, doesn't mean you don't have to stop helping. And #8 is just expressing what a lot of parents told children. This never gave you the right to say "**** you"
