No one said that they were doing it behind her back. Everyone just jumped to that conclusion. My parents dated for 4 months before getting engaged, and they're still together 30 years later, so it isn't impossible. I don't necessarily see what the ex did wrong. Perhaps with more details, but all we know is that a relationship came to an unmutual end and the hurt party is upset that he found something more meaningful. It just so happens to be a cousin.
