Wait how do you get immune to poison ivy?
Some people just have antibodies that makes it so some things are not poisonous to them.

You boyfriend may have been answering a call of nature and happened upon the poison ivy - since the allergic response can start within a few hours or it can take a few days - it looks like you’ve given him the benefit of the doubt that his exposure wasn’t at the same time as your brother since you didn’t label him your ex boyfriend
