Today, my parents told me that they've been having a contest to see who could punish me the most this week. So far, my mom is in the lead by kicking me out of the car near railroad tracks, and making me walk the 4 miles home in the freezing rain. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I got into a huge fight with a girl at school. My mom and dad decided to punish me by letting my three older brothers pick out my wardrobe for the next week. FML
Today, my mom made me go shopping with her. It was freezing out, but she didn't wear a coat, boasting that she doesn't feel the chill like I do. By the time we drove home she was whining about freezing to death, and now I'm stuck in a house whose heating is set to "inferno". FML
Do as you're told
Today, my parents forced me to do chores. I worked extra slow to rebel against their tyranny. My dad then said I'm not allowed to get my learner's permit for another six months and took away my phone. FML
Dumbass
Today, my dad forced me to take part in a pathetic act of revenge against our neighbors, who keep parking their 4x4 in front of our house. He made me stand watch while he kept trying to slash their tires. An hour later, we were waiting for my mom to bail us out of jail. FML
Today, my parents, who are divorced, were arguing over who has to pay for my bus pass. They decided they wouldn't pay unless the other one did too. Neither will pay the £60 it'll cost for my bus pass. I now have to walk to school every day, in freezing winter weather. It's 9 miles. Each way. FML
Today, my mother-in-law grounded me because I went to the store in the "dangerous" rain. My husband says that if I don't obey then we won't work out. FML
Doormat blues
Today, my mom spent an hour lecturing me on how I'm a doormat who lets people walk all over me, and that I needed to be more assertive. So I stood up and told my dad, no, I am not going on that forestry camp he wants me to go to. Mom sat silently by as he screamed and grounded me for the entire summer. FML
Today, my parents decided to finally kick me out of the house because they've gotten tired of seeing me "sleep around all day and being so lazy" whenever I'm home. I'm currently triple-shifting for 6 days a week. FML
Today, my parents yelled at me for 10 minutes without letting me get a word in edgeways for getting a 48 on my test. They took my phone, unplugged my internet, and took my car keys. They wouldn't listen no matter how many times I told them, "It was out of 50". It actually was. FML
This is not good parenting
Today, and for the past week, I've been incredibly on edge because apparently my dad is kicking me out but I don't know when, and my mom has told me I'm not allowed to tell anyone. She then got mad at me because I did. FML

What'd you do to piss them off?

Your parents are a bunch of assholes. I wouldn't sit there and just take that. Get back at them!

What on Earth did you do to merit that kind of punishment? Because unless it was something amazingly serious, you need to get the hell out of there. Punishing a child for misbehaviour is one thing, but having a competition about it seems far too far and you really should consider moving out and/or getting social services involved...

Your fault for saying things like "freezing rain" everyone knows that's called hail. You're lucky, if you were my child I wouldn't have let you in the car at all.

My god you're an idiot. There is such a thing as freezing rain and I'm going to explain it to you in hopes your small little brain can understand. Freezing rain is rain that ONLY freezes and turns to ice when it hits cold surfaces. So it's not like hail, which is already a hunk of frozen ice before it hits the surface. And if you were my child, I wouldn't let you in my car AND I'd run you over with a bulldozer full of hail.

I always thought "freezing rain" meant sleet, like a rain/ice slush. Either way, 34's an idiot.
isis_morrigan 18
yea I also took it as a description of the rain, meaning that it was really freaking cold, and not literally frozen precipitation of any form.

I love how #34 is so certain in the nonsense he said... LOL.
Kiki242 19
Perhaps OP meant the rain was really cold. That seems to be more likely. Also I pray for your children to come or if you have some already.

Did anybody consider 34 being sarcastic? That's how I read it at least.
TheBitchOfChuckN 7
Freezing Rain can also mean rain that's cold.

#34 I sincerely hope you don't have children. I would feel really bad for them if you did. It reminds me of that scene from The Giver where they hit the little kid with the cattle prod because he says "smack" instead of "snack".

I think she meant "very cold rain". You don't have to take every thing so literally. And no one EVER deserves abuse, because that's what this is.

You must really be a jerk of a kid. Maybe if you were less of a jerk they wouldn't treat you this way.
cargaljen 8
Really? I don't care how much of a "jerk kid" he is, competitive punishment is wrong.

I say if OPs face is in the news as a Missing Child alert, his/her dad won the bet.
