Today, my husband and I found the perfect house, in our price range and everything we wanted in a house. However, the street it's on is called "Arbour Butte Road". My husband refuses to buy it because he doesn't want it to sound like he lives "in a tree's ass." I'm married to an idiot. FML

Today, we inherited a house from my grandma in a homeowners association. My husband told the HOA president he's looking forward to defying the rules and annoying the rich snobs on this street who made grandma miserable by complaining about the state of her house while she was dying. FUCK THEM. FML

Today, my landlord sent tree cutters to take down a tree in our front yard. I didn't realize their job included walking around the house and gratuitously staring at me through the window as I dressed. My boyfriend won't complain because he's afraid our rent will go up in retaliation. FML

Today, I learned that just because I inherited a house doesn’t mean I get to move into it to escape my crappy neighbourhood and asshole neighbours. Thanks to inheritance tax I have to sell the house to afford the taxes. FML

We almost bought a house on a street called Crested Butte I think it was. We affectionately referred to it as Crusty Butt. It was actually a selling point for us.
