Today, my family and I went over to our new neighbors' house, to sing a carol and say hello. The only response we got was a door slammed in our faces. FML

Maybe they are not Christian? If you sang first, rather than introducing yourselves, they could have been easily offended. Or just annoyed.

Not everyone is Christian or celebrates Christmas (myself included), but they could have kindly explained that to you rather than behaving so rudely at your well-intentioned gesture.
