Honestly that would bother me a little bit. I mean if y’all have a great relationship otherwise maybe look past it? But if he’s being obnoxious or insulting about it or implying that’s the only basis for your relationship I’d talk with him and possibly break it off

My last relationship I only had the balls to talk to her because I knew she was depressed and self conscious and nobody else talked to her. She had the same mental issues as I had and basically we were the same person but it was toxic because neither of us could fix ourselves but we were trying to fix each other and it just didn't work out. We both mutually split up and have been best friends since and always try and boost each others confidence.

So now none of you are lonely. that's a good thing isn't it?
