Today, my long-distance British boyfriend of 7 years canceled his plane ticket to visit me in the USA. He claims he "doesn't have enough money" to stay for 2 weeks. As I began canceling all the reservations, he called to say he bought a new car and a house. FML

Today, my boyfriend gave me an ultimatum: either cancel my amazing work trip or stay with him. I chose the trip and he assured me he’d be gone by the time I got back. His issue? My boss thought it’d be cheaper to get an AirBnB instead of getting us all hotel rooms, and that men are also going. FML

Today, I told my boyfriend I wouldn't be able to get any time off work to go to Mexico with him, and that we'd have to get our tickets refunded, and reschedule. He said not to bother, and that he already had someone else in mind to take with him. FML

Today, my boyfriend wanted to take me to a movie after days of not seeing me. This long-awaited date involved me paying for food and my movie ticket when he ran out of cash again. He then dumped me as we left the theater walking to his car. Yes, I financed my own breakup date. FML

Today, I got home from visiting my long-distance girlfriend. I spent $366 to get a plane ticket to visit her for the week. The day after I arrived there, she broke up with me and I had to buy a ticket for an earlier flight home. With fees and penalties, I paid around $550 to be broken up with. FML

Tell him he needs better excuses [: Look on the bright side, MAYBE he feels bad for you, because you pay everything and wants a girl where he can be able to pay also. Or maybe he is just a gold digger. Good Luck though xD

Maybe he's tired of being dependent on you. Perhaps he doesn't want you to think he's using you. Or maybe he's gonna surprise you, so don't do anything wrong this weekend! Hang in there, he could have been genuine about that reason.

Maybe he feels bad for making you pay for everything. Or, maybe he doesn't want to do the whole long-distance thing (I'm assuming that's what it is since he has to take a plane to get to you). Either way, the relationship doesn't sound too promising.

Come to think of it, might be time for me to get a girlfriend. Taking applications? Don't worry about buying me a plane ticket, just send the money western union. :-D
