Today, my boyfriend broke up with me, saying he had to move away to be with his dad, who's just been diagnosed with cancer. After talking to his sister, I discovered that not only is his dad healthy, he's not moving away either; he's just gotten back with his ex. FML

trust me op, you'll look back and be so glad that he didn't waste any more of your time. I was involved in a similar situation and once we were broken up, it felt like a weight had been lifted after I found out what he lied about. do you really want a relationship with someone who handles their problems that way? good riddance!
