Today, my boyfriend bought me an engagement ring. It turned out to be the wrong size and we had to return it, since the store said it couldn't be re-sized. As we headed home, I felt guilty, so I turned to him and apologized. His response? "It's OK honey, I didn't really want to marry you that much anyway." FML

Rings with designs or etchings around them can't be resized. You have to order them in the correct size. But don't understand why a different size wasn't purchased or exchanged. Whatever

You can't control the size of your finger, there's no need for you to apologize to him. Was the band patterned or studded & that's why it can't be resized? Otherwise that's odd they can't resize it, unless the store just doesn't have the tools for it. Hopefully he was joking about what he said because having a ring or not doesn't really have anything to do with being engaged, they're just for show. Accepting him & being able to wear a ring are 2 completely different things.
