Today, I called in sick for the first time. My boss said that if I didn’t show up, not only would he fire me, but he’d make sure I never find another job for the rest of my life. So I showed up to work with a bucket, puking every five minutes. My boss still made me stay the full nine hours. FML

Today, at my hairdressing job, my first client of the day came in for a cut. Her hair smelled awful, and when I asked her why, she informed me that she'd gotten trashed with some friends the night before, and one of them had puked in her hair. She came to me to get it cleaned out. FML

Today, I was at my job as a dental assistant and I was told to take an X-ray of a woman's teeth. As soon as I put the foam piece into her mouth, she projectile-vomited all over me and the floor. I had just started my 5-hour shift. FML

Today, as I was pulling into work at 15 weeks pregnant, I projectile vomit all over myself and my vehicle. I had an emotional breakdown as I went back home, and called my boss to let him know I would not be in that day. I am now looking for a new job. FML

At least your boss is trying to help, they're obviously compassionate. Considering what jerks bosses can be I think you got lucky. I don't know what job you have but you'll probably become less sensitive and a stronger stomach as time goes on.

Looks like you have a kind and supportive boss! Don't worry if things felt a little awkward after, that's only natural. But if they were willing to help out in the first place, I think that only goes to show that they won't judge you any differently for it. Feel better!
