Today, my boss called and yelled at me because he said I was "spotted" out after I called off sick. I was out getting the medicine the doctor had just prescribed me. FML

Today, I went in to work and was handed a write-up for having lied about being sick in order to leave early yesterday. Apparently, a co-worker saw me leave the parking lot, then immediately pull into the shopping center next door. I was going to Walgreens for cold medicine. FML

Today, I was feeling terrible so I called in sick to work. My boss refused to believe me and told me he'd fire me if I didn't come in. I dragged myself to work, only to spend most of the day glued to the toilet. Now he says I won't be paid for the day because I barely did any work. FML

After months of my boss trying to get me sacked by spreading vicious rumors about me, taunting me into retaliating, and generally making my life a living hell, he finally got his chance. Today, I dragged myself to work, suffering from a bad cold. My boss quietly told me to go home and rest, to avoid spreading it around the office. I thought it odd since he dislikes me so much, but I did as he said. He called later in the day to suspend me for leaving work early. FML

Today, despite having a stomach bug, I went into work, as my boss is overseas and had warned me not to take any sick leave until she returned. After 4 hours and vomiting twice, I left. She found out and sent me an email bitching me out for coming in sick. FML

That's when you take your script in when you are better, show him the time stamp and ask the boss to inform the idiot that dobbed you in and ask for an apology, the way your boss conducted himself was unprofessional, if you can go higher up I would

Not all people who are sick have the luxury of staying home and having someone care for them. You need to take yourself to your doc appt, pharmacy, grocery store for food. OP may be single, or close loved ones also had to work so they cant care for him. You have to do it yourself and the boss is an idiot for not realizing that. I stayed home from work due to strep throat. As much as I didnt want to get out of bed, I had to drive myself to the doctor cause it wont get better without antibiotics.

I had a line manager at work try to do this to one of her staff. I had work really hard to convince her not to write up the staff member (I was in HR). So unfair. Don't let your boss walk all over you if you can help it!
