Today, it's my 21st birthday. All my friends and family said they were busy so I figured I was getting a surprise party. Nope. They all were actually busy. I spent my birthday alone. FML

I know turning 21 is a big deal, but what's the harm in celebrating with your loved ones at later date, when they're available? At least they were really busy and not just blowing you off.

Or you could be like me, my 21st birthday is coming up on Christmas in 2 days and I am in South Korea, on the other side of the world from my family and friends due to being in the army, plus I only have one decent friend here.

Being away from family and friends for the holidays can be hard, but being in the Army, you kinda choose that profession yourself. Been there, done that. You take your pride from the fact you are doing a good job, at least you didn't spend your holidays in a warzone... It does suck however you only made one decent friend over there...

Happy Escape the Womb Day!!! It's terribly sad that you had to celebrate your latest and greatest milestone alone. But, now that you're 21, grow some balls, get down to the pub, sit next to the jukebox and start singing your fav songs and get "parra". I guarantee that there will be real people in the pub, who'll be happy to help you celebrate. You might even make some amazing new friends.
