Today, I proposed to my girlfriend from the top of a bungee jumping platform at an amusement park. I yelled out, "WILL YOU MARRY ME?" from the platform, pointing her out. Turns out, I was pointing at the wrong girl. My girlfriend was very angry and ran away when the wrong girl yelled, "Yes!" FML

Today, I proposed to my girlfriend in public. She happily said yes, and the surrounding crowd cheered for us. About 10 minutes later, after the excitement died down, she leaned over and quietly said, "Actually, I don't want to marry you. I only said yes so I wouldn't disappoint the crowd." FML

That really sucks. Usually you talk about it first though. Not surprise them. If you did that then you would've been more aware of what her answer would be.

That sucks OP, but at least she was honest in saying no. You could've married the girl and found her sleeping around two years later. Or maybe she just wasn't ready. I feel bad for the guy operating the balloon.
