Today, I was walking home from work going over a railway-bridge, when a 12 year old boy standing at the bottom asks if I could help him carry his bike up, as he couldn't lift it. I did it for him, and was greeted on the other side by his father - who thought I was stealing it and hit me. FML

You should have punched him back and told him to help his kid himself next time. FYL. And Fthekid'sL for having a father like that.

this was clearly an ambush set up by the boy and his dad as a father/son bonding experience. you should feel grateful to have participated.

Naive, people. So naive. There is NO best place ever. It's not the US, not the UK, not Russia or anything else. Not even heaven (if it exists which i doubt cuz I'm jewish). Everywhere there are assholes, dicks that will jump to conclusion, sue your ass for nothing, think he's perfect. Nobody, anywhere in the world is perfect. Every last country, every last state in the US has disadvantages. And the best place ever is a place with ONLY advantages. And it doesn't exist.

Smash his face and tell him that you helped his son

should have hit the father with the bike

Wow. What an ass. I mean, were you running or anything? Wasn't the kid beside you?

Sad that you felt the need to reiterate something I stated in my original post six years later. Good on you. Have a ******* cookie, you daft looking ****.
