Today, I was giving my boyfriend a massage. I guess I hit the spot, because he muttered, "Please marry me" into the pillow. Considering we've been going out for years and had spoken about marriage before, I stopped in my tracks. He stammered, "Oh, I mean... Not like that. Will you keep going?" FML

He doesn't want to marry you in the middle of such an amazing massage, that's all

A friend of mine gave me a massage a couple weeks ago. It was so good and relaxing that I told her if she married me I'd spoil her just for a massage every day.

My best friend told me he was having sex with this girl once... The feeling was so amazing and intense he started debating on whether he was ready to be a father or not. You can't trust men when they're being pleasured! P.s. He hates being in a relationship and is now a father.

#2: Fortunately for the OP's bf, it usually takes some time to arrange a justice of the peace and a marriage license.

I know, right? I don't know how he has resisted marrying op! If I had a woman like that I'd marry her right after the massage.

If a guy ever says "I love you" or "will you marry me" during pleasurable things (e.g., a massage or sex), it shouldn't be taken seriously. The heat of the moment can lead people to say things they didn't necessarily mean.

Quite the opposite actually. If you've ever had sex with someone you love and you're enjoying it, you'll most likely mention that you love her or him.

I don't know why #6 is getting thumbed down. I've always heard the same thing. I understand it might not be the case for everyone's situation but if the FIRST time a guy says "I love you" is when he's getting pleasured? I would question its sincerity.

theyve been going out for YEARS. So it's not their first time. That's why #6 is getting thumbs down. Read the FML properly.

Talking about marriage is not him actually proposing. He did not mean it. He only did it the heat of the moment and then reneged. Sounds like #6 was dead on.

This makes me wonder how many times you have been rejected

He might not have meant to say it out loud, but if he was embarrassed at saying it out loud it's most likely because he actually does want to marry you sometime in the future :).

Anyone who gives massages that good is definitely a keeper. He should have stuck with the first thing he said :)

he was flattered to offer you the best against your efficient massage

That doesn't mean he won't ever feel that way. Maybe he just wants his proposal to be a bit more special than that.
