It’s a trap! If he doesn’t share your plans don’t waste more than the 3 years you already have hoping he’ll commit. The top reason people who desire to get married don’t get the chance is they spend their youth in a relationship with someone stringing them along and with no intention to marry them, and years later have missed out on their best years to find someone whose life goals align with theirs.

to everyone saying run we don't know the whole story. if they dated the three years of highschool I can understand why he'd answer like that. if op is in her 20s then ya it's time to have a serious conversation consider running.
