Today, I was docked and fined in my dorm building because of multiple noise complaints. What was I doing that was so noisy? I slipped in the shower and banged my head against the floor. Then when I reached for the towel rack to pull myself up, it broke and I slammed my wrist onto the ground. FML

Today, my dorm's fire alarm went off. In the rush to escape, I slipped and fell off my bunk bed, breaking my ankle in two places. Crying, I told my roommates I needed help to walk. They shrugged and left after mentioning that I would slow them down. FML

Today, while showering I slipped and fell, taking down the shower curtain and smashing my head against the floor, resulting in a concussion. My family came running because of the noise and I lay naked, bleeding and concussed for few minutes before they could stop laughing enough to get me help. FML

Today, I found myself locked out of my house. I had to squeeze myself through a tiny window around the back. While hanging upside down, my hood fell over my head. My dog ran through to investigate the noise and ravaged me thinking I was a burglar. I then fell and broke my wrist. FML

Today, to make my dorm neighbours think I'm popular, I blasted music and screamed at the top of my lungs so it sounded like I was having a party. My residence manager slapped me with a noise violation, and demanded to come in to make sure we weren't drinking. I had to explain why I was by myself. FML

Today, as I stepped into the shower, I slipped and fell over the edge of the tub, pulling the shower curtain down with me. I called my roommate to help me up as I put on a towel over me. But before she could help me up, she grabbed her phone to take a picture. The picture became a mass text. FML

Today, my alarm went off. I reached to swat it, missed, slipped, smacked my face on my dresser, and fell on the floor. As I picked myself up off the floor, I hit my head on the open top drawer of my other dresser. In 30 seconds of consciousness, I was attacked by two pieces of furniture. FML

Today, I was running to my car, slipped, and slammed my head on the car door. I started driving to the hospital because it was bleeding profusely and I was dizzy, I called my mom to tell her what had happened. She said I was grounded for "goofing off" and that she was "sick of my shit". FML

Today, I tried to sneak in at 2 a.m. after going out, since I'm 16, but I tripped over a pair of slippers and landed flat on my face. My body fell quietly, but I let out a very loud and guttural, "Oof." After about a minute, I lifted my face to see my mom standing over me. I'm now grounded for 3 days. FML

I don't buy it. Who would have complained about noises like that coming from the bathroom? Was this the type of dorm that has bathrooms in each bedroom? In that case, I still don't think people would have complained about something like that, being as how it wasn't a continuous noise.

Slamming and thumping sounds, transferred through a wall, can sound a lot more enjoyable. Also, the acompanying yelps of pain get distorted by the wall. I can see complaining about someone getting that enthusiastic...especially if the OP is in the other situation more regularly. Or if it's the quiet dorm on campus...assuming this is a university/college dorm, a lot of the quieter dorms tend to attract the insane-recluse-genius students and the "I spend so much of my money on my research I can't afford a real home" profs. Both of these groups are dedicated/crazy enough to put forward some rather anal complaints.

Obviously i was too subtle. Random thumping and yelping sounds are easily interpreted as wild sex rather than unfortunate bather. You must admit, the former is far more common, overall.

The whole falling and getting hurt thing sucks, but I think you should be able to fight the fine fairly easily. If not, break into your neighboring dormrooms and pour oil all over their bathroom floors, then report them as they fall.
