Today, I was at the theatre with my 4-year-old son who was situated on my lap. Halfway through the movie, he turns to face me and states loudly, "Mommy, your legs are so furry!". Everyone watching the show turned and stared at us. FML

Tell your kid to shut up. The rest of us paid over $10 a ticket and are trying to watch the movie! I hate people who bring their damn kids to a movie and they just won't shut up! Rent the DVD and watch it at home, then your kid can cry, talk, and ask all the stupid questions it wants...and leave the rest of us in peace!

THANK you! Most of the people who turned around and stared were probably doing it because they were ANNOYED, not because they give a shit about your hairy legs.

Nothing was every said by the OP that her kid was throwing a tantrum. He was probably just surprised that his mom was furry and he decided to comment on it. It doesn't mean he was being loud and obnoxious the whole time.

well we all have our different way of the way we would raise our kids if we had them. since i decided to have a kid, I get to choose how she is raised. Everyone who has kids has the right to raise there kids the way they want to, whether you or anyone else thinks it's the right way or not. People who decide to have kids should also get to choose how to react in situations where the kid is being disruptive to an event or such. Also, all kids are different thus they react to parenting styles differently, so whatever worked for your mom when raising you isn't going to work with all other kids on the planet and it's really not as easy as you think it is trying to find what works for one's own kids.

*shrug* eh, if she shaved in the first place, that wouldn't have happened.

mom what were you doing during all of this? laughing at him and letting him say what he wanted?

No, the kid would have said "mom, your legs are so smooth" or whatever instead. The point here is, teach your kids to SHUT UP at the movies, not shave your legs. ALso, 4 years olds DON'T belong at the movies.

At least you have something to keep you warm during the winter.
