Today, I was at a restaurant with my kids. I told my 13 year old about how the very first time she said she loved me. She was 2 and it was at this very restaurant. I told her the details and even started tearing up a little. She didn't even look up from her cell phone and said, "That's fab, ma." FML

Today, my daughter said "I love you mom", to me for the first time I can remember. She is 16 years old. She said it because I bought her first thong. FML
Today, my girlfriend and I were talking about times we'd made our mothers cry. She said she'd only made her mother cry once. When I asked when, she said, "When I told her I was thinking about dating you." FML
Today, I told my mom, "I love you". She responded with, "What? I never told you I loved you." FML
Today, I kissed my husband and said, "I love you." That's when our 5 year-old son said to my husband, "How can you love her so much if she's so ugly?" FML
Today, I told my mom I loved her a lot. Her reply? "Thanks." FML
Today, I told my girlfriend I love her for the first time. She said, "Thanks." FML
Today, it's my soon to be 12 year-old daughter's birthday. On my break at work I texted her how much I loved her and happy birthday. She replied with, "K, when will you be home? Mom won't let me open presents until you're here." Good to know I'm loved. FML
Today, my boyfriend said, "One day I'll tell my children how I met you. I mean, our children." It's pretty cute, except for the fact that we're 17 and have been dating for only two weeks. FML
Today, I asked my kids how much they loved me. My seven year-old responded, 'I'll love you forever mummy.' My sixteen year-old responded, 'Can you wind down the window, I just farted.' FML
Today, I told my daughter that she should put some love into her cooking. She started kissing the ingredients. FML

I am 13 but I would definitely tell my mom that I loved her and would listen to the story. I am interested in stuff from my childhood

What the hell are people saying "Uhhh she shouldn't have a cell phone she's 13" for? I've had my cell phone since I was 11, and I've actually had to use it on several occasions where I didn't have a ride home from somewhere or when I had to stay after school or even just to tell my parents where I was and what I was doing. Seriously, it's not OP's fault for wanting to have contact with her daughter in case one of them needs it.

Wow, just wow.. if I were you I would've taken her phone, switch it to a flip one. After pouring your heart out to her like that and being so motherly of such a memory, you deserve better acknowledgement than that.
