Today, I received a new debit card, so I cut the old one into pieces. I then picked up my remaining card, and realized I'd cut up the wrong one. FML

I have never understood why people cut up their old cards? I keep mine, but maybe i'm wierd.

I particularly like to keep my old drivers licences. I like to see how i have aged :-)

people cut up old cards before throwing them away because sometimes the old ones can be used in bad ways. a driver's license can be used to make a fake ID, and sometime old credit cards still work. but if you keep your cards anyway, then they're safe.

In a lot of states, you have to turn in your old license, or lie and say you lost it to keep it.

Nah, I don't keep old credit cards, but I keep my old license. At least the only old one I have. I agree, I like see how the old ones to the new ones change.

loolll that's funny. I tried to go shopping with my debit card but it wasn't working so I got really pissed n scared but it turns out I had my old card in my wallet, I just didn't cut it up lol
