Today, I overheard my dad telling his work buddy that he's disappointed in his kid. I assumed he meant my brother, for flunking out of school. He meant me, for quitting sports to focus on my studies. FML

He'll regret saying that when you succeed ten years later.

Did anyone bother to look at #1 profile, lol. Man he sure does have some imagination.

You've got your priorities in the right place. Your dad will realize that one day... hopefully.

It's sports, anyone who thumbs down is one I the nerds who was too weak and uncoordinated for sports

I would be disappointed if my son got cut from his team too that looks bad on me

I actually played college football dumbass, and I thumbed him down. But you know, sorry that I was able to balance academics and sports, and now I have a higher paying job than you'll ever have. Wait. That was sarcasm. I'm not sorry.

Gold digger alert #11. you're saying all athletes make bad grades? I played sports all year in high school AND made straight A's. My college scholarships came from academics NOT sports.

How does that related to the FML, though?

Rawrnom, that's because you live in the 'real' world where people are rewarded based on their work and professionalism. OP and #1 here, on the other hand, live in the fictional realm of U.S. of A. A place where merit goes to people like Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian.
