Today, I made a delicious casserole for dinner. Just as I was about to serve it, a bowl fell from the cupboard above, exploded on the counter and made it rain tiny, sharp glass shards on my food. I can't pick them all out. FML

Natural selection? Extra protein? Toughening your mouth? Really, there are only benefits here

Glass shards in your food? Yummy! Extra fibre! Seriously though, FYL. I know the feeling of making a nice meal and then it getting ruined somehow. I once made a nice ham for dinner and then it fell on the floor.

I think if glass would be something the body could use, it would be more of a mineral than a fibre, since it is basically molten sand.

Don't tell anyone, and it may end up like an episode of House, with everyone going to the E.R. for the same unknown reason.

I'm imagining the origin story for one of the glass eaters you see at those freak shows.

To get the glass out of your foot, heat your foot up by using a blow dryer, place cellophane tape over it, on your foot. let your foot cool, pull the cellophane tape off slowly. it will take alot of little shards out.

I think you misread it. It fell in the lasagna.

That is terrible!!! I hope you were able to make another meal quickly!!!

I don't know why but when I read that quickly, I read it as "today I made a jealous asshole for diner."

Literally the exact same thing happened to me when my mom made a casserole, I opened the cupboard to get a bowl and one came crashing down and smashed a glass on the counter. There were tiny glass shards in our casserole, and my mom ended up crying and sent us to subway, I felt so bad but she knew it wasn't my fault. It had taken her hours to make that casserole :(
